Alvier double vertical

Description

The Alvier is the highest peak of the Alvier chain and is accessible from both Flums and Wildhaus. There is a small cable car going up to Palfries, from there the top is accessible with only 700m elevation.

To make it a tough vertical, we start at the foot of the lift. First a bit on the Jubileumsweg, then we follow the markers to Palfries. Immediately it goes up steeply, to a part where we really have to climb. On this route, parts occur with no less than 400 HM in 1 km.

After a viewpoint we can continue the route over Lärchenplatte (alternatively we can run via spina). Following, we encounter a part without a path, straight up until we hit the normal route of the climb to the Alvier again.

Now a more technical part follows, with a ladder and some pieces of climbing. But then we have covered no less than 2000hm within 7km.

The way back we go via Spina to Heiligkreuz and then back to the palfries lift
