Sankt Martin is a small Walser settlement in the middle of the Sardona area. It can be reached via a road that is too narrow for oncoming traffic and therefore must be driven alternately in one direction or the other. We are not bothered by this on the bike. The tour starts from Flums, first flat towards Bad Ragaz.

There we have the choice of 3 routes to climb, personally I like the climb via the sarelli road (between Bad Ragaz and Landquart). Arriving in Pfäffers, it slowly ascends and then descents to the first reservoir. It then remains relatively flat up to Vättis.
Then the climb starts through Gigerwald to the last dam. After the dam we arrive on the narrow one-way road to Sankt Martin. After a good coffee break we can continue the way back and now turn off at the first reservoir to descend on the other side of the Taminaschlucht over the Tamina bridge. After that it is only a matter of descending and calmly back to Flums.
