Sardona crossing

In 3 days we will cross the entire Sardona Tectonic area. A great experience, where there is both time to be amazed by nature and a great performance is delivered. We run in the comfort zone. Various passages are walked at a brisk walking pace.

The tour is divided into 3 stages:

Filzbach - Spitzmeilenhütte: 28km
Spitzmeilenhütte - Sardonahütte: 32km
Sardonahütte - Flims: 39km

During this trailrun we will spend the night in the Spitzmeilenhütte and the Sardonahütte. Dinner and breakfast are organized at both locations.

Programm

Day 1 - Filzbach - Spitzmeilenhütte

We start in Filzbach at 12:00. From Ziegelbrücke transport is organized. Right at the beginning there is a long ascent over the Habergschwänd to the Talalpsee and then along the Spanneggsee to Mürtschengfurggel. We run over the Murgseefurggel to the Murgseen. In high alpine terrain we continue our route via Widerstein to Spitzmeilen. We walk comfortably down to the Spitzmeilenhütte, where we spend our first night.

Day 2 - Spitzmeilenhütte - Sardonahütte

After a hearty breakfast, we briefly climb up to the Fansfurggla. Then we stay long above 2000 meters in altitude to the Madchopf. On the way we pass small lakes like the Chamseeli and have a beautiful view of the Pizol area and Glarnerland. We descend over 1000 meters to Weisstannen. Then we climb out of the valley and walk to the dreamlike Batöni waterfall arena. It goes steadily uphill to the Heidelpass along the Lake Balaton and Heubützlipass. The Piz Sardona always in view. We end our day in the Sardona hut.

Day 3 - Sardonahütte - Flims

After another delicious breakfast in the hut, it's back to the Heubützlipass. From there we run through the Muota valley to the Foopass. This is followed by a very long descent to Elm, partly on wider roads, where we can take a good pace. From Elm we can look forward to a long ascent to the Segnaspass, one of the highlights of our tour. We look through the Martinsloch from both sides. With a view of the Segnas plain, we descend to Flims, where our tour ends.
